Abstract

The effect of bioavailable silicon in the composition of the feed supplement NaBiKat on growth, development of internal organs, and meat quality of broiler chickens of the Cobb - 500 cross has been studied. NaBiKat (industry standard 0011853958 - 002 - 2014, OOO “TechnologylmplementationCenter“, Novosibirsk) is a new complex mixture of rice germ films, gallocatechin of green tea in chelated form, and forty - nine trace elements in chelated form, including bio - soluble form of silicon. NaBiKat has been obtained from natural raw materials - gallocatechin of plant origin and water - soluble monomolecular form of silicon (chelates) isolated from plant sources - by a patented method of non - chemical synthesis in a solid - state fermentation process without the preliminary dissolution. The main function of silicon is to be involved in a variety of intermediate exchange reactions as a catalyst and to ensure normal flow of vital mechanisms as a coupler helping to combine cellular molecules into a whole functioning structure. Silicon begins to act on the body when getting into the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract with the feed. It activates the enzyme system of the body and is absorbed in the ionic form by kind of ordinary diffusion along almost the entire small and large intestine beginning from the jejunum. The feed supplement studied had positive effect on body weight of broiler chickens, slaughter yield, the yield of pectoral muscles, and the ratio of the mass of edible and inedible parts. The mass of internal organs (both absolute and relative ones) has been found to be higher in broiler chickens (cockerels and chickens) in the experimental groups, compared to the control. The organically bound silicon contained in the feed supplement NaBiKat has been proved to promote the metabolic processes in the body of chickens in the experimental groups and to have positive impact on the growth and functioning of virtually all parenchymal organs. The chemical composition of the pectoral muscles, bones, and liver of chickens has been studied. The nanobiological NaBiKat supplement in the complete feed for chickens resulted in a reduction of moisture, increasing in the content of protein and ash in broilers pectoral muscles, as well as changing of amino acid and mineral composition. The biophile silicon in the diet of broiler chickens accelerates the bone mineralization and improves the chemical composition of the pectoral muscles and the liver.
