Abstract

Conducted work on the study of winter hardiness and productivity of collection samples of oats of different eco - geographical origin. In this regard we undertook a study of winter hardiness among the accessions of oat species of Avena sativa and Avenabyzantina from the global gene pool of different eco - geographical origin during winter sowing in the conditions of southern Dagestan. The work was done in Dagestan experimental station of Vavilov Institute of Plant during the autumn - winter months of2011 - 2012, when there was a sharp decrease in temperature and damage to agricultural crops by frost (up to... - 18°C) in field conditions, it is possible to conduct monitoring and obtain reliable observational data to the hardiness of the collection and to highlight the most winter - hardy forms. In this paper, we demonstrate the effect of low temperature on crops oats in the conditions of winter crops. Out of 90 samples of A. sativa, 27 were represented hulless forms. Among these, 24 samples were assessed at 1 point, the other 3 points.
