Abstract

The article discusses the priority regulatory tasks that need to be addressed to increase the area of plantings of industrial hemp in the Russian Federation. It is shown that it is necessary in the regulations to clearly specify the parameters that allow to distinguish between technical and medicinal cannabis. It is proposed to develop and adopt a methodology to establish the quantitative content of THC in plants. This will help to eliminate the classification of plants industrial hemp to the drug cannabis (marijuana).
