Identification of the rust fungus parasitizing on field pea in the Orel region

On the pea sowing in the Orel region for years is diagnosticate a disease caused by rusty fungi of the genus Uromyces. Guided by observations of the life cycle and the hosts circle of the rust fungus that colonized the pea sowings, and partly the morphological features of Telio and Urediniospors, we assumed that the responsible for epiphytoty is the one-host fungus U. fabae f. pisi-sativae (specialized form of fungus U. fabae). To confirm the hypothesis, molecular genetic methods were used- phylogenetic analysis of genomes and diagnostics of plant diseases using PCR. However, in NCBI, the nucleotide base which is traditionally used to determine the systematic position of an organism in a hierarchy similar to it and to create diagnostic tests, similar a taxonomic unit is absent. Operating the collected information in the GenBank, we identified three clusters of rust fungi which parasitizing on peas. This investigation illustrates the possible differences that arise when using different approaches to characterize one organism.
