The article presents the results of studies on the effect of pumpkin oil cake enriched with bioavailable form of iodine on the quality of sperm and hatching eggs of parent flock (roosters and chickens) of the “Hajseks brown ” cross. The feed supplement under study has positively effected on the state of sperm of the breeding males. The volume of ejaculate, the sperm concentration in semen, and the total number of spermatozoa have been established to be higher in the experimental groups, compared with the control group. The pumpkin cake enriched with biologically active feed supplement “Yoddar-Zn ” contributed to the increase in weight of the testes and significant accumulation of the A, E, and B2 vitamins in the liver. The biologically active substances as a part of the feed supplement studied contributed to the stimulation of natural resistance of the organism, created conditions for more complete disclosure of the genetic potential of the birds, and extended the period of their industrial use.
