The investigations results on studying the water regime and the winter wheat crop formation at the hydrological complex. The weed free fallow on the heavy and medium mechanical composition chestnut soils it is an important agricultural practices providing additional water supply in the amount of 70...80 mm which allows to increase grain yield by 1,5 times. Most of the precipitation water (over 200 mm) out into groundwater or not available horizons for plant roots.
