Abstract

The objestive of the research was to establish linkages between solar activity, climate and economic factors – the duration of sunshine during the growing period of crops, the sum of air temperatures for May-August, volume of water supply for irrigation of crops grown on the lands of two administrative regions of Uzbekistan, whose lands are located in the territory of the Golodnaya steppe, and yield of cotton. Analysis of the complex solar-terrestrial relations factors for 25-30-year period established a close correlation between solar activity and terrestrial factors, as well as between the individual factors in the form of analytical and regression equations. Yield of Gossypium depends on the sunshine duration in the course of major stages of plant development as long as regional agricultural growth techniques of Gossypium are complied with. Solar activity influence on the sunshine duration proves solar activity dependence of Gossypium’s yield.
