“MEMORY LIVES ON …GARDENS BLOOM”

Abstract

The article tells about the heroic deeds the employees of the Moscow fruit and berry experimental station (now FSBI FSC of Horticulture), after the beginning of the Great Patriotic War rose to defend the Motherland both on the front and in the rear. The scientific activity and contribution of scientists and specialists in the field of study and development of fruit and berry crops, which stood at the origins of the FSBI FSC of Horticulture — M.Ya. Busurin, A.A. Vysotskiy, V.G. Trushechkin. The public work of the institution aimed at preserving the memory of the feats of our ancestors is shown: it is about publishing activity in this direction, socially significant work on the younger generation education on the basis one of the schools in the Museum of War Glory creation format, as well as meetings with veterans and homefront workers. In addition, emphasizing generational continuity, assistance to fighters of the special military operation is reported: some employees of the institution take a direct part in it, others provide humanitarian and other kinds of assistance.
