Abstract

Considers the formation of assortment of Golden currant in the historical aspect, the territory of modern Russia since the allocation of the first grade to the present moment. Identified are the main centers of breeding of Golden currant. Updated the major economic-valuable signs, showing their variability and identified donors are recommended as sources of desired characteristics. The necessity of inclusion in the process of cultivar Golden currant research on infection verticillatum on the artificial provocative background.
