Abstract

Landscape fires take place in steppe area of the river Don as the result of anthropogenic factors and arid climate. Steppe vegetation and crop residue catch fire. Ground cover and forest litter, root collar of tree species and branches burn when fire takes place in (wind controlling) shelterbelts. Firefront speed is 5-10 minutes. It depends on topography, wind power and forest fuel. Ignitions are the cause of phytosaturation reduce and wind penetration increase of stands. Middle-aged shelterbelts created by black locust that prevail in the region and are damaged by landscape fires a little are characterized by phytosaturation of 0, 421+0, 007 kg/m3, those with average damage - 0,338+0,008 kg/m3, highly damaged - 0,314+0,001. Little and average damaged (wind controlling) shelterbelts have considerable reclamative affect on wind current on distance fold 12,5…20H. Shelterbelts need 2-3 years to. Influence on wind speed on the adjacent field, do not regenerate after landscape fires and need reconstruction.
