Abstract

To resolve the issue of longevity of cattle, necessary raise the level of selection and breeding work, in particular in the use of blood groups, which allow you to control the accuracy of the records of animal origin. Detected at the same marker alleles can be used to establish breeding values of cows. The analysis of efficiency of cows maximum lactation, for a lifetime of productivity and duration of use of cows based alleles of EAB-locus of blood groups suggests that the ability to conduct selection on productive longevity, allocating and leaving the herd of cows for repair with certain alleles. It is found that the allele A/1B/ remain in the herd over 20 years. Cow-carriers of this allele have good milk yield, increased in comparison with the herd, and the content in milk fat and protein, which contributes to their many years of use in the herd. In addition, securing constantly used sires Holstein Red-and-White breed, this leads to the accumulation in the herd alleles paternal breed, helping to increase milk production and, consequently, increases the useful life of the cows in the herd. It is noted that in a herd of cows is economically advisable to use at least six lactations because 70 % of cows are showing maximum productivity 3-6 lactation.
